Dr. Angelo Castillo Dr. Angelo Castillo received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of California Riverside while on scholarship. He continued his studies at the University of Health Sciences where he received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2015. As one of the youngest doctors in his graduating class, he has received extensive training with highly renowned veterinary specialists in Southern California. Owner / Veterinarian Dr. Andy Castillo Dr. Andy Castillo is our lead veterinarian, with more than 20 years of experience. Originally from Las Vegas, NV, Dr. Andy Castillo started as a Small Animal Practitioner only to then receive his Doctorate in Medicine in July 1980 from De La Salle University of the Philippines. Later he came to the United States where he attended Tuskegee University and obtained his license to practice. As if that wasn’t enough, he’s also bilingual and can speak English and Tagalog! Veterinarian Dr. Genevieve LeClair Dr. Genevieve LeClair is excited to join the community and team at the Animal Doctors of Orange County. She came to the practice because of the reputation for excellence and for the established commitment to providing lifetime quality care to families and their pets. Since starting in January of 2020, she has really enjoyed starting to get to know all of the families and pets that call the Animal Doctors of Orange County 'their' doctor. She hopes she will be able to continue to build on the lifetime relationships.

Read More Veterinarian Dr. Mikel Gonzales Dr Gonzales graduated veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences in 2010. Since then, he has worked in general practice, emergency / critical care, and shelter medicine. His interests include surgery, ophthalmology, as well as zoo animals and exotics. When he’s not working, he likes to bake dog treats from scratch with his wife at home. He has a pug and a special needs corgi who approve of his new recipes. He’s passionate about improving the human- animal bond and agrees with what famous poet Anatole France once said, “ Until one has loved an animal; a part of one's soul remains unawakened”. Veterinarian Dr. Perpetuo Palacpac Dr. Pete was born and raised in the Philippines. He has always had a strong love for animals, which inspired him to become a veterinarian. He graduated from De La Salle Araneta University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Philippines. After immigrating to the United States he attended Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, New York where he obtained his licensed accredition to practice in the U.S. Before moving to Southern California, he worked as an associate veterinarian in Long Island, New York for a few years. Dr. Pete is a general animal practitioner with a passion for surgery. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife Lea, their two children Danielle and Leon, as well as their three dogs Shadow, Bantay, and Maganda. Veterinarian Dr. Ingrid Hernandez Dr Hernandez received her doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in 2015. Since then she has been passionate about small animal medicine. Her special interests are internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Hernandez enjoys cooking and going outdoors, but her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family! Her husband, baby son, and their cat Gordo are her whole world. Veterinarian Liz (Elizabeth) Wagner Liz was born and raised in Orange County. She started her career in vet med in 2007 to pursue her passion of working with animals. Over the past 17 years she has held many different positions in the veterinary setting including receptionist, kennel attendant, and veterinary assistant. In 2016, she earned the designation of Certified Veterinary Practice Manager, followed by her PHRca (Professional in Human Resources-California) in 2019. Liz is thrilled to join our team as Director of Operations & Human Resources, allowing her to continue to share her love of animals and dedication to providing them with high-quality, compassionate care. Liz lives in Trabuco Canyon with her son, two rescue terriers Alfie and Hammy, and her leopard gecko, Pico. In her free time, Liz enjoys cooking, reading, and thrifting. Director, Operations and Human Resources M. Theresa Castillo Theresa has been in Human Resources off and on since 2008. She's currently part time because if she's not chauffeuring her three kids around to various activities, she's chasing after her shih-tzu that won't stop eating her own poop! She enjoys watching reruns of FRIENDS, and is a big advocate for underprivelged youth and cultural development. Human Resources Soraya Sarraf Bio Coming Soon! Marketing & Engagement Coordinator Katie McCrosky Katie is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been in the field for over 15 years. She has experience working with small animals, large animals, and pocket pets. Katie has her fear free certificate as well and enjoys working with patients and their owners to make vet visits a little less scary. When not working, Katie enjoys spending time with her daughter Paislee, her dogs, Fiana and Rufus, and cats Jack Frost and Bourbon. She also enjoys spending time with friends, the outdoors and going to festivals. Lead RVT Mariana Lutfi Mariana is an RVT with 11 years of experience. She has two chunky cats and two kids. She loves to go camping, hiking and spending time with family. She enjoys finding ways to be environmentally friendly and hopes to be self sustainable in the future. Lead RVT Sam San Diego Sam is one of the Lead Registered Veterinary Technicians here at The Animal Doctors of OC! She has been working in Veterinary Medicine since 2018 and graduated from the RVT program at Stanbridge University in 2019. She has a special interest in Emergency and Critical Care as well as marine life and brachycephalic breeds. If Sam is not at work, you’ll either find her cuddling her 2 English Bulldogs named Barnum and Bailey, alongside their Rottweiler/German Shepherd sister named Jade, or teaching/dancing at a Tahitian Dance Troupe called Te Varua Ori. Lead RVT Jeanette Lorenzo Jeanette’s been a Registered Veterinary Technologist for 24 years and has been in the vet field for almost 30 years. She has worked in many different parts of vet med, including general practice, exotic medicine, ophthalmology, and as a vet tech instructor. She’s always kept a special interest in dental extractions and has completed many years of continued education to advance her skills in dentistry and veterinary technology. When not working, Jeanette enjoys spending time with her partner Jaclyn, son Nathan, and their dog Ginger just hanging out and enjoying their time together. RVT Lisa Scott Growing up, Lisa has always loved animals. She rode horses and had many cats, dogs, and birds over the years. As an RVT Lisa has worked mostly with companion animals, dairy cattle, ruminants, ER/Urgent care, and even at a reference laboratory for a few years. She likes to hike, eat good food and in her spare time, she volunteers for BBBS ( Big Brother Big Sister) of Orange County. Currently, Lisa has a chihuahua named Chito, who she shares with her son that lives in Long Beach. RVT Marlenn Martinez Mar is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has been in the field since 2019. She enjoys advocating for the lives of those who have no voice. Mar has a Cavalier King Charles named Flounder and is a certified good boy. She loves spending time at the beach with a good book, being at home listening to good music, and expressing her creativity such as scrapbooking or painting. RVT Megan Roybal Megan has had a love for animals her entire life. She currently has 9 pets at home, but 2 of them include her pug "Gup" and her ball python "Piper". She graduated from Platt College with an AS in Veterinary Technology to pursue a career as a Registered Veterinary Technician. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, drawing, binge watching her favorite TV shows, and spending time with her fur babies. Lead VA/ VA Betsy Barreto Betsy is a Veterinary Assistant. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2022. She's always been passionate about working with animals and she enjoys being able to help people with their fur babies. Betsy also has two cats named Bagheera and Nemo! In the picture with her is Betsy's soul dog, Fawn. Vet Assistant Cecilia Vasquez Bio Coming Soon! Vet Assistant Crystal Duran Crystal has been in the field since 2022. Her cat is her whole world. In her free time, she enjoys creating and writing stories. Vet Assistant Frenchie (Andrew) Sieng Frenchie is a Veterinary Assistant and is in his last semester of school to be a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician. He's been in the field since 2022. He loves being in this field because of how rewarding it is to treat an animal, see them completely change, and feel better. Vet Assistant Marisa Mendoza Marisa is a Veterinary Assistant. She has 3 dogs, Sadie, Ellie and Milo. Marisa has been in the field since 2022 and is looking to become a Veterinarian. Her hobbies include drinking iced coffee and going to the gym! Vet Assistant Ana Zamora Ana is a CVA and has been in the field since 2018. She has a husky mix named Alfie, an Aussie named Oliver, a poodle named Tommy Pickles, and a crazy kitten named Lilith.

Ana loves cosplaying, making costumes, sewing, crocheting, playing D&D, hiking and baking. She loves making her own granola, oat milk, and low waste "hippy dippy stuff".

Ana loves being in the field not just cause of the pets but because she likes seeing how happy pets make people. She knows firsthand how much of a difference pets make in your life, so she prioritizes both owners and patients' happiness. Vet Assistant, Equipment Manager Ferdi (Ferdinand) Soriano Ferdi is our semi-retired Kennel Attendant. He was a veterinarian in the Philippines. He worked as a Farm Manager at Golden Egg Poultry Farm in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia before migrating to America. If he's not working, he loves to travel and spend time with his wife and two sons. Vet Assistant, Kennel Attendant Jocelyn Jimenez Jocelyn has been working in the veterinary field as a kennel attendant since 2021. She enjoys learning new things everyday. Seeing all the precious furry animals come in really lighten up her day.

Outside of work I'm a huge family person, I love exploring new places we've never been and create wonderful memories. Kennel Attendant Tina Nguyen Tina is a graduate from California State University, Fullerton where she received her BS in Biological Sciences and BA in American Studies. In her free time she hangs out with her dogs Luna and Breezy, and her cat, Nova. Tina enjoys taking and processing her own film photography. She also loves collecting house plants - she has over a hundred of them. CSR Manager Anna (Adrianna) Garcia Anna has been in the field for 3 years with 10 years of experience as a dog groomer. She loves this field because of all the fur babies, and since she has no pets of her own at the moment, it really helps with fluffy withdrawals. Receptionist Tony (Antonio) Esparza SantaCruz Certification: Animal services retiree. Extensive training in animal behavior and breed identification. Customer service training. Been in the field 25 years. I have 3 precious pups Summer, Spotty, and Chloe. Hobbies: watch sports, spending time with family, and going to the beach. I love being in this field because I love animals and it gives me joy to see animals thrive. I love to engage with pet parents/clients. Receptionist Gigi LeClair Gigi is the Dogtor at both the La Palma and Buena Park locations. She has been assisting Dr. LeClair and the staff for the last few years and excels in making humans and their pets feel welcome and comfortable in the hosptial. She particularly enjoys seeing new puppies and little old lady chihuahuas. She lives at home with a couple cats and only chases them sometimes. She looks forward to seeing the hospital and team grow. Staff Jean Planta Jean has been working in animal care since 2020 but has been in the healthcare field for more than 20 yrs. She has a natural love & fondness for animals since she was at a young age. Jean has a degree in B.S Biology and currently is applying her knowledge and skills in this field to the care of animals. Jean has several dogs and cats that she considers more as family members than pets. Receptionist Berenice Casarez Bere loves animals and had 3 of her own before becoming a mom to her two year old daughter. Bere has been in the field since 2009. She was a Veterinary Assistant at our Anaheim location for many years, but now has transitioned to our receptionist at Buena Park. She's a rare and valued team member since she knows how our front house and treatment staff work. Receptionist Slide

Dr. Genevieve LeClair

Veterinarian

Dr. Genevieve LeClair is excited to join the community and team at the Animal Doctors of Orange County. She came to the practice because of the reputation for excellence and for the established commitment to providing lifetime quality care to families and their pets. Since starting in January of 2020, she has really enjoyed starting to get to know all of the families and pets that call the Animal Doctors of Orange County ‘their’ doctor. She hopes she will be able to continue to build on the lifetime relationships.

Dr. LeClair grew up in Maine, where she got to experience a year which had four different seasons, and from an early age she had a curiosity about animals. From a very early age she knew how to reach carefully into wither boots to check for sleeping field mice who were nested inside before putting her boots on. There were also a number of dogs, cats, and other assorted animals in the family home.

From elementary school onward, her favorite place to be was the horse farm down the road. There she had many many great horses who taught her to work hard so she could handle and ride animals. She took on as much responsibility as she could. In elementary school, Dr. LeClair and her sister would ride the school bus after school to the horse farm so she could get there as fast as she could to learn from the trainers or to feed the horses dinner. She learned many lessons including how to ride fancy show ponies, how to hammer nails and not thumbs doing fence repairs, and even how to pull along her friends on sleds or skis behind a horse.

Her career inspiration was sparked the summer before she started high-school when the LeClair family met Toby, the beloved family horse. The very first month Toby was a part of the family he decided they would go to veterinary school. Toby went to college in more states than Dr. LeClair did, but, together they have been traveled many years and miles. He always has been regarded as one of the most quirky and unique animals in every state he is resided.

They both have made it many miles and years from their start. They attended the University of Maine where she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science and then went on to Western University of Health Science. During breaks, LeClair went back home to work at an Equine Hospital in New Hampshire, where she attained experience from veterinarians responsible for treating world-class athletes. She spent time practicing as an equine veterinarian in Southern California before transitioning to companion animal medicine, making her a very well-rounded clinician. Transitioning from equine to companion medicine gives her a very unique perspective to unique and intensive medical cases.

As an animal lover, Dr. LeClair is very passionate about evidence based medicine, and providing the best possible quality of animal care and she strives to build deep relationships with our pets and clients.

Dr. LeClair is excited to be at the Animal Doctors of Orange County and is proud to have the opportunity to practice veterinary medicine in a hospital that takes pride in its deep community connection as well as its longstanding tradition of excellence.
